Home
I have always been a supporter of fitness and wellness. While attending San Jose State
University, I was in top physical condition when a truck rear-ended and totaled my car. I
suffered injuries that affected my back and neck, to the point of shifting my spine. After 12
months of rehabilitation I was able to recover. The ER doctor told me that if I had not been in
such good physical shape, my injuries would have been far more serious. A light bulb went on.
At that point I realized that exercise has far more benefits than making us feel and look good.
Exercise can save your life. Since then, I have continued to exercise and stay active, helping
friends and family learn how to lift weights, workout and eat healthy. I have worked as a
personal trainer with 24 Hour Fitness, earned my Fitness Specialist certification through
Mission College and subsequently earned my Personal Trainer Certification through ACE
(American Council on Exercise). I have been an active member in the Wellness Committee at
Gardner Family Health Network, Inc. for more than two years, take classes at the awesome
Academy of Self Defense, is a green belt and holds medals in Shotokan Karate.
I started conducting weekend boot camps last year at the request of friends and co-workers.
This year I started “Phoenix Rising”, a non-profit program that brings dance and fitness to
women’s shelters improving mood, health and hope. I am on a mission to educate and inspire
others to live healthier, happier lives.
